Translation Certification at the Spanish Consulate

legalizuem-documenty-v-posolstve-ispanii

Most often, documents legalization for Spain is required for submission to banks to apply for a loan, get citizenship, and take up the study.

Since Spain is the Hague Convention Country, government-issued documents, as well as documents issued by notaries, must be apostilled. The exceptions are certificates and references from the Civil registry office since Russia and Spain have signed a mutual legal assistance agreement that cancels legalization concerning these documents. However, some Spanish host authorities still require that the apostille stamp is on all documents without exception.

Legalization of translation at the Spanish Embassy in Moscow

Legalization for Spain is the submission and subsequent translation certification of a document at the Spanish Embassy. Since the Spanish Embassy does not have accredited translators, translation into Spanish can be done by any translator. However, if you do not know the rules and requirements for a translation execution by the Embassy, then the translation will be most likely returned without legalization.

The translation itself is attached either to the document original or to its photocopy (not to a notarized copy!!!).

If you are not able to certify your documents at the Spanish Consulate independently, we will do it for you. We have extensive experience working with the Spanish Consulate on the certification (legalization) translation issue, we always try to be up to date with innovations regarding translations requirements, registration, timing and the consular fee amount.

The cost of our services:

Submission of documents to the Spanish Embassy - 1 or more documents - 4000 rubles, 5-7 working days

Translation into Spanish by a certified translator - 850 rubles / 1800 characters with spaces.

Apostille on translation - as an option for documents legalization for Spain

Documents legalization for Spain is possible not only through the Spanish Embassy. Another translation certification option for Spain is an apostille on documents with a subsequent notarized translation into Spanish or an apostille affixing on a notarized document translation.

This option is often more cost-effective and transparent since you can almost immediately announce the order cost in stages.

Such legalization is:

  1. a notarized copy of the document;
  2. apostille on a notarized copy in the Ministry of Justice;
  3. translation into Spanish;
  4. notarized translation.

or:

  1. a notarized copy of the document;
  2. translation into Spanish;
  3. notarized translation;
  4. apostille on a translation.

If you are preparing documents for a Spanish bank

Many Spanish banks to confirm the client's income require many documents, most often it is an employee earnings certificate, an employment certificate, and a bank statement.

Since February 2015, the Spanish Embassy requirements regarding the legalization of the translation have become more stringent and costly. As practice shows, some banks do not require documents legalization at all and accept translations certified by the Russian Federation notary. Therefore, be sure to check at the place of document submission whether legalization is necessary or a notarized translation into Spanish is enough.
