Kuwait is not a Hague Convention country, which means it requires a full consular legalization procedure for documents.
Let's take the legalization of a criminal record certificate for Kuwait as an example. Also, a popular request is the legalization of a diploma for Kuwait, all the steps listed below will be exactly the same in this case.
The first step of legalization is to make a notarized copy - 100 rubles/page.
Like many Arab countries, Kuwait accepts translations done in Arabic or English. In our case, the translation into English suited the client. The cost of an English translation is 450 rubles; an Arabic translation is 750 rubles for 1,800 characters with spaces.
Then the translation is certified by a notary - 600 rubles per document.
The next steps are legalization at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. We can arrange legalization either in regular mode for 11 working days - 4,500 rubles, or in an urgent mode for 6 working days - 7,500 rubles.
And the final step is the stamping of Kuwait’s Embassy.
The consular fee of the Embassy of Kuwait is paid in rubles. The consular fee is 1,750 rubles and takes from 1 to 3 working days. The submission of documents for legalization takes place from 9 am to 11 am, issuance from 13 to 15 hours.
Documents of a purely commercial nature (bilingual contracts, agreements, certificates of origin, invoices, etc.) can be legalized through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, followed by a stamp from the Embassy of Kuwait.
