Since Russia is the assignee of the USSR, stamp “Apostille” can be attached in the Russian Federation to the documents issued at the territory of the Soviet Turkmenistan but only to notarized copies of the documents.
It is necessary to know that not all of the host country institutions are ready to admit such a document. In this case, the legalization has to be made directly in Turkmenistan.
The documents, issued by the Civil registry offices in Turkmenistan, not always have to be legalized.
